Claire Robertson is a singer and writer in the Pacific Northwest who creates connection through music and the written word. Her childhood was split between Montana and Texas, where she spent many hours on horseback or in the theater. Her “expansive, warm voice,” (Oregon ArtsWatch) has featured in new music projects, choral works, and operas with groups ranging from Resonance Ensemble to the Portland Symphonic Choir. Claire’s “smooth alto intonement” (Oregon ArtsWatch) shone as the Alto Soloist for a world-premiere dance and choral performance of Rachmaninoff’s Vespers. Claire earned double B.A. degrees in Music and Russian from the University of Montana in 2016 and a M.M. in Vocal Performance from West Virginia University in 2019. Outside of the practice room, Claire enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, and trying something new (most recently, improv comedy).
