Amazing Grace (Late Intermediate Version)

Sheet Music for our late intermediate arrangement of Amazing Grace. Set to the anonymous melody New Britain, the words of the hymn were written by English evangelist John Newton. Renouncing his earlier participation in the slave trade, he became an abolitionist later in life. The hymn was both personal and universal; it reflected his struggle to reconcile the past with his own redemptive longings, but also offered the hope of redemption to those seeking to change their lives. Written thirty-five years before England officially abolished slavery, the hymn has found lasting popularity in the United States. This version features sweeping left hand arpeggios and uplifting chromatic harmony. Arranged by Aron Bernstein, 2 PDF pages.
