Intermezzo in B-flat Major, Op. 76, No. 4

Sheet music for the Intermezzo in B-flat Major, Op. 76, No. 4 by Johannes Brahms. An introspective character piece whose melody stretches over a falling accompaniment that passes between the hands. Through Brahms's clever chromaticism, the piece's tonality remains vague until measure 13, where the relative minor key is finally reached. Plenty of legato thirds and sixths enrich the texture, a typical feature of this German master's piano works. For advanced-level students, 4 pages.
