Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

Sheet music for Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, one of the most popular African-American spirituals of all time. Written in the mid-19th Century by Choctaw Freedmen Wallace and Minerva Willis, the hymn uses call-and-response and moving biblical references to evoke the promise of salvation. This version gives students practice with syncopation and passing the melody between the hands. Early intermediate-level arrangement by Aron Bernstein, 1 PDF page.
