Summer Piano Explorations Class

Piano illustration

This summer class is for students who want to master the skills they’ve already learned in piano team class, be more prepared for the next level of piano team class, or just keep up their piano learning momentum over the summer. Mr. Aron will use piano exercises, games, and other activities to reinforce material students have already learned in their Prep B or Level 1B piano team classes. Summer Piano Explorations will not alter the Piano Team track the students currently are on (i.e. spring Prep B students will be on track for Level 1A in the fall, spring Level 1B students will continue in Level 2A in the fall, etc).

Aron Bernstein, M.M.

Summer Piano Explorations Class Teacher

Aron Bernstein is a former astronomy enthusiast who decided to make music his career shortly after high school. Originally from Southern California, Aron came to Portland in 2006, after twenty-two years in the Bay Area. At San Francisco State University, he received his bachelors in music theory and composition, and his masters in the same field at Western Oregon University. Aron has been a classroom piano and theory instructor for nine years, and a private teacher for twenty. His “studio,” so to speak, has included theory students at Clackamas Community College and some five-hundred private piano students in the Portland and Bay areas. He has also taught the Harmony Road Curriculum at both the Westside Music School in Beaverton and the Harmony Road Music Center in Clackamas. Aron lives to find creative ways to communicate his passion for music, its structure, history, and beauty.
