where are the finger puppets?
Even finger puppets need a break sometimes. 🙂 Don’t worry, they’ll show up again in later lessons.
Really enjoying learning the piano at age 63! I’m sure you’ve been told you are the Mr. Rodgers of piano teachers! Playing on my grandmother’s piano. I’m to Unit 3 now and wondering if I missed something in printing it out. I have no answer keys.
Thank you! We’re glad to have you learning with us! Don’t worry, you didn’t miss anything. The unit 3 printables–just like the unit 3 videos–aren’t quite up to date, so they don’t have an answer key yet.
Any other way to check my answers?
Haha wow what a surprise! It’s amazing how much change occurs between unit two and unit three!I
Mr. Hoffman, thank you so much for making these videos! You’re such a good teacher!
Thank you! And yes, the unit 3 and 4 videos are much older and lower-quality. We’ll get around to updating them eventually. 🙂
why is there no princess baby or scuba eny more
Even finger puppets need a vacation sometimes. Don’t worry, they’ll be back in future lessons.
I get it that the finger puppets need a break
the intro is so much different
Yes. We recently updated units 1 and 2, but we haven’t gotten around to re-filming Unit 3 yet, so the intro at the beginning, and the film quality are a little different.
Mr. Hoffman on lesson 42 adding cords to listen for bells sheet say the 2 finger chord is different from the one actually on the sheet music on the bottom of the page. I hope you understand what I mean.
Are you asking why the example two-note chord is upside down compared to the ones on the sheet music? We’re sorry for the confusion. We didn’t intend to imply that all two-note chords have to look exactly like that, just that when you draw a two-note chord, you draw the two notes directly above one another. I hope that helps. Let us know if that didn’t answer your question!
The second note is not filled on the grand staff but when you show that definition of it it is filled. Do I. Make sense now. I will keep in touch.???
You’re right–the example of a two-note chord is filled in. That just means that it’s made up of quarter notes instead of half notes or dotted half notes like the chords in the song. Two note chords can be made up of any kind of note. I hope that helps.
Hi Mr Hoffman. It sounds like you had a cold when this one was filmed. Hope you are well now though. Are the 10 current units all there will be or are you planning to add to them? If so when?… I know, i’m only on unit 3, but it’s good to plan ahead right?
Thank you! We don’t know exactly how many units we’ll make, but our current estimate is about 30-40, and we’ll get started on unit 11 as soon as we can. Good luck and happy playing!
Mr. Hoffman please do some easy tutorials for songs from the greatest showman!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll add it to our list of potential future songs.
That would be awesome.
Mr Hoffman is this unit filmed longer ago ?
Yes. We recently re-filmed and updated units 1 and 2, but we haven’t gotten around to updating unit 3 yet, so the videos are much older.

Thank you very much for these classes, Mr. Hoffman.
Does it matter adding a two-notes-chord or a three-notes-chord?
Good question. You can certainly try a three-note-chord in this song; adding the F# will sound a little different, but in this song it will still fit. Three-note-chords take a little more strength and finger independence, so don’t worry if it feels tricky at first. – Mr. Hoffman
