Thanks ever since I have been learning from this website everything seems to be so much more easier.
You’re very welcome. We’re glad you’re finding the lessons helpful.
Thank you but which lesson do you start teaching piano players that are not beginners?
Even if you have a couple of years of previous experience, it’s good to start early on in the program. You can move through it as quickly as you like, though, until you get to more challenging units. We would recommend looking through the first unit or two in our lesson index and watching any videos with topics you are unfamiliar with or would like to review, and then starting in unit 2 or 3. For more information about where to start, check out our blog post, Where to Begin with Hoffman Academy. I hope that helps!

There is also flagmo pps Aurora
There is also flagmo
The Flamingo should have been a ferret
That would have worked too.

When I first started learning the names of the keys it was quite difficult and I had to write down each letter on its key, but now after watching your videos, the stories made it A LOT easier. I just wiped out the letters I wrote because now after the video and the practice session it became natural for me to know they names of the keys!! THANK YOU <3
You’re very welcome! I’m so glad the lesson was helpful.
Here are some other animals with F names that Grandma could have as a pet- ferret, finch, falcon, flying squirrel, and a fox. My favorite thing on piano street is the dog that is scared of the cat! – Olivia
Hi Olivia! Those are great animal names. 🙂
It should have been fox.
Flamingos! (from my son, Ilya)
Oops, he meant to say a fox. I didn’t realize you mentioned flamingos in the video. 🙂
Either one would work!
Gigantic flying fox. It is the biggest bat in the world!
That’s true. 🙂 And that’s a good animal for F.
I’m a 28 year old man and I’m learning piano with you, I loved how you said in an earlier lesson that adults can still learn music. I’ve always believed the myth than children learn so much faster that it’s too late for me. Thanks!
We could not get this video to play for us today. It says “an error occurred”. We tried several times. Thought you would want to know. Thank you!
Thanks for letting us know! Our website was down for a little while on Friday, but everything should be working again now.
Videos are now working! Thanks! 🙂

What do the points do
Right now, the points are just for your own motivation and sense of accomplishment. However, we have some future features planned that will use the points, such as unlocking new profile customization. If you have ideas for fun ways we could use the points, we’d love to hear them!
I have a keyboard, not a piano. It does not have a black key standing alone. Would it still work?
Yes, that should definitely still work. If your keyboard doesn’t have a lone black key at the left end, that just means it has a different number of keys. As long as it has at least 61 keys, you’ll be able to play any of the songs that we teach in the lessons so far. And even if it has fewer than that, it’s still fine to start learning on.
I have two animals for F – falcon and ferret
Your lesson are very good and I got an animal for f fox
Thank you! Fox is a great animal for F.
I have some good animals that start with the letter F. Ferret, Fox, And Flamingo.

I love your puppets and funny endings to the videos. I am happy to be learning all these things from you. Thanks again! ??One more animal is Falcon!
Thank you so much! We’re glad to have you learning with us. 🙂
I have some animal suggestions: fluffy cats, ferrets, and foxes. ?
My 9yo student says: Fierce flying squirrel!
That’s a good one. 🙂
I am 12 and the web won’t let me post so I’m posting on my moms posting account can you change that
Because of privacy laws, students need to be at least 13 years old to comment. We’re sorry for the inconvenience that may cause.

Thank you, Ryan! I’m so glad you liked the story and that it helped you learn how to find the notes on the piano. 🙂 Good luck and happy playing!

I am new to your site and look forward to more exploring. Just curious where you can get those removable piano key stickers? I have been searching for such things! I didn’t see them included in the lesson resources in your store but maybe I overlooked. Thanks!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying our site so far! I’m afraid those letter labels are just something we threw together to help tell the story of Piano Street. We don’t consistently use them in lessons or leave them on the keys. Also (though I realize you may not have meant actually sticky stickers, I just want to be clear) I don’t recommend putting actual stickers on your piano keys, first because there is a tendency for the labels to become a crutch and also because adhesives are likely to damage the keys over time. I apologize that I can’t be more help!
Grandma could have a fossa as a pet. (from Jude)
What about a foll!

Dear Mr. Hoffman,
I remember in th previous lesson you said to practice having our hands float back up. My hands are small so in order to prevent it from pressing other keys I have to keep my fingers at the tip of the key. Is that alright?
Can you or a parent send a photo or video of how you are playing? It’s hard for me to comment without seeing it myself. – Mr. Hoffman
How do you post a video?
Here are instructions for posting a video to YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?hl=en&rd=1. Once the video is up, you can email the link to Support@HoffmanAcademy.com
Thanks Mr. Hoffman but I think I’ll just keep practicing. My mom forgot the password to her email.
It’s ok if your fingers are near the tip of the keys as long as the rest of your hands and wrists are relaxed and aligned correctly. Your wrists should be free to move up and down and your forearms should generally be parallel to the floor. I hope that helps! If your mom needs help accessing her account, please encourage her to contact us. Good luck and happy playing!
Ferret, falcon, feline, finch, fawn, etc.

I think these videos definitely can be of help to anyone who wants to learn, at any age. We have many adults and teens using my lessons. I am primarily a teacher of children (which I’m sure you notice in my lessons), but this can be a plus since I go nice and easy at first, but challenges start to come before too long. At the end of all my lessons, you should have developed some great basic musical skills, with the ability to play many songs. I can’t promise you’ll be able to play *any* song, but I assure you that with hard work, and lots of daily practice, you can become as good as you would like to become. Thanks for watching and learning with me!
mr hoff your the best teacher EVER!!!!!!!!!!(i am a boy) :^

Mr. hoffman I realy like your lessons and Im nine I have a small kids piano but I can onley press 1 key at a time what shold I do?
By “small kids piano,” do you mean one with fewer than 10 keys? I’m afraid that it will be very difficult to learn to play with that as your only instrument. If there isn’t a piano with at least 61 keys in your home, you might want to ask if you could practice at a friend’s or relative’s house or at a local church or library. Good luck! – Mr. Hoffman
what is a frilled lizard?
A lizard with frills.
Frog, fly, ferret
