Piano Camps

Kung Fu Piano is a fun, interactive camp experience for
kids with no prior piano training (For a piano camp for
kids with piano experience, see our Piano Band Camp
below). Packed with learning, kids who complete the
5-day camp will emerge knowing how to play several
songs on the piano with confidence, plus how to read
basic rhythms and notes on the staff. Most importantly,
Kung Fu Piano will inspire in your child a LOVE and
excitement for piano and music. You may find this hard
to believe, but, after doing this camp, most kids tell their
parents they are actually EXCITED to sign up for more
piano lessons! Each camp will be led by Instructor and
Academy Director Joseph Hoffman, who has been
inspiring young students in camps and lessons for over
a decade. Don’t miss this great opportunity!

Guitar Camp

Guitar Camp:
Learn to play the music you love on the guitar in this exciting
camp offering from Hoffman Academy. Under the expert guidance
of guitarist Joseph Berman, former Principal Conductor of the Portland
Youth Rock Orchestra, you’ll soon be rocking out to some of
today’s hottest music. The last day of camp will culminate with a
mini rock concert for families and friends featuring you! We have
a camp for beginners and a more advanced camp for guitarists
with prior experience.

Voice Camp

Musical Theater Voice Camp:
“You Can’t Stop the Beat!”
Do you crave being on stage? Take the spotlight, and bring your
vocal and acting skills to new heights with this fun, performance-
oriented Musical Theater Camp! Every attendee will have the
opportunity to learn, polish and perform both solo and ensemble
scenes from Broadway hits. Campers will work on singing, acting,
and choreography during this week long camp as well as
developing their confidence and poise on stage. The camp will
culminate with an exciting concert performance for family and
friends. Camp Director Michelle Bahr combines years of
experience as a director and voice teacher with a passion and
enthusiasm for inspiring young aspiring musicians.

Piano Band Camp:
WARNING: This is not yo’ mamma’s
piano summer camp!
Get ready to rock to the music of Bruno Mars, Taylor
Swift, David Guetta, and other top artists of today! In a
fun, interactive camp setting simulating a real rock band
rehearsal, students will gain confidence at the piano
while building skills in reading notes and rhythms—
using the music they already love! This 5-day camp will
culminate with an exciting concert performance for family
and friends. Piano Band Camp is certain to boost
motivation and ignite passion in any young pianist—
leaving them wondering why they ever gave you a
moment’s grief about taking lessons!
